  I noticed so many unbiblical teachings and so many things wrong with the Organization years before finally leaving.... blood policy, disfellowshipping policies, field service reports, the elders' fakeness during the CO visit... the list goes on and on....

  But I kept holding on because of one thing.... 1914

  As silly as this sounds, I attributed all the negative things to "imperfection" and thought that this must be Jehovah's Organization because he allowed Russell to "predict" 1914...

  But when I read Gentile Times Reconsidered, I became furious... How dare they flat out lie to all of us like that? I became even more furious when I discovered that the 2,520 year (7 Times) calculation actually originated with John Aquila Brown in 1823 (not Russell 50 years later)

  That was it for me... I immediately started my fade... Actually, it was more like running for the exit and never looking back.

  in zions watchtower 1896 december 15th, russell's comment on an article in the n.y observer which rightly cast doubt on the imminent formation of a jewish state in these words:.

  come, and that although palestine will again become cultivated.

  and prosperous, to the jews it may alwavs be a land of promise.".

  The 2010 DVD "Faith In Action" mentions on two (2) occasions that the Bible Students looked forward to 1914 as the year that Jesus would take the throne decades in advance... of course, we now know this is completely false as they had been taught that Jesus took the throne in 1874 and it wasn't until the late '20s or early '30s that Rutherford changed 1874 to 1914.

  But the best quote in this DVD is this precious gem from Anthony Morris the Turd:

  "The fact that they (the Bible Students) were able to pinpoint that year (1914) is just phenomenal".

  Of course the Bible Students didn't "pinpoint" anything... They merely followed Russell who copied the Gentile Times (7 X 360 = 2,520) calculation from Barbour who copied it from Miller who copied it from a book written by John Aquila Brown in 1823 called "The Even Tide"...

  If I had only known all of this 20 years ago... oh well...

  just having had my circuit assembly recently, i felt that the expenses in a watchtower-owned building seemed extremely over-inflated.

  over $9000 for two days.

  there were approximately 750-800 in attendance each day.

  I wonder how many district conventions have declared "deficits" before the 3rd day this year... that post-lunch announcement seems to have become the norm in recent years... I think the Watchtower Corporation took a page from a Pavlov dog-conditioning book in order to "condition" JWs to reach for their wallets after enjoying a meal... wouldn't surprise me...

  The answer to this question is simple... They want child abuse to be something that exists in the Catholics religion exclusively.

  By the way, ever notice how the Watchtower has mentioned the Catholic religion a lot more frequently than other religions?... that's basically their bread and bitter for field service recruitment...

  "Come over to this side all you Catholics who are on the fence... you'll never see such deadful behaviour in Jehovah's Organization"...

  A "New" Revelation Grand Climax at Hand book might be released for Book/Bible Study?

  a few elders i know said they hoped the wts would release a "new" revelation book to be studied during 2014. they said the jws need to be spiritually encourage at the "closeness" of the end and studying a "new" revelation book for 2014 might help shape up the flock of inactive, faders, disfellowship/disassociated jws to coming back.
